Rachael M. Barton
CARDINGTON — Rachael M. Barton, age 30, of Cardington died unexpectedly Wednesday morning, Jan. 2, 2008, in the emergency room of Morrow County Hospital.
She was born on Aug. 16, 1977, in Mount Gilead to Marion D. Barton of Cardington and the late Irene M. (Lang) Barton. A lifelong resident of the Cardington area, she had attended the Whetstone School. A member of Sacred Hearts Church, she will be remembered for her friendly, ornery and at times stubborn nature, as well as keeping her father, Marion, in his place. Always easy going, she never knew a stranger. Rachael enjoyed music and her vast collection of movies.
In addition to her father, she is survived by sisters, Lori (Calvin) Pierce, Emily (Jeff) Sparks, both of Marengo; brothers, Michael (Nancy) Barton of Trenton, N.J., Patrick Barton of Cardington, Timothy (Brandy) Barton of Marengo; nieces and nephews, Krysta Sparks, Zachary Barton, Shayla Pierce, P.J. Barton, Haylee Sparks, Cole and Chloe Barton; dear aunt, Della Dailey of Chesterville.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by nephews, Gene Adkins and Nicholas Barton.
Friends may call Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 229 in Marengo. Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Hearts Church, 4680 U.S. 42, Cardington. The Rev. Barry Bentz celebrant. Interment in Maple Grove Cemetery, Chesterville.
