Dorothy B. Dobson
GAMBIER — Dorothy B. Dobson, 81, of Chase Avenue, Gambier, passed away Saturday morning, Jan. 12, 2008, at the Country Court Nursing Home in Mount Vernon.
She was born Sept. 17, 1926, at Brinkhaven, a daughter of the late William and Goldie (Dobson) Wilson. Dorothy was a homemaker and she enjoyed working in her flower garden and spoiling her grandchildren.
Dorothy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Teresa Dobson of Mount Vernon; her grandchildren, Challyn, Brie and Michelle Dobson, all of Mount Vernon; her brother, Robert D. Wilson of Mount Vernon; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by brothers, Orvy, William, Gerald and Roy Wilson; and sisters, Erma Crosky, Beatrice Wilson, Elsie Harding and Mary Jane Magers.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, Jan. 16, from noon until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, with Evangelist Jerold Tear officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Gambier.
