Thomas Glass
SPRINGFIELD — Thomas C. Glass, 91, of Springfield died Jan. 14, 2008, at the Springfield Masonic Community.
He was born March 9, 1916, in Genoa Township to Paul and Esther (Bennett) Glass. Thomas was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Along with his brother, he became a meat cutter working at various slaughter houses in the Columbus area. He retired from the former Curtis Wright and North American Aviation plants in Columbus.
He is survived by son, Charles Glass of Galena; daughters, Donna Baumgartner of Denver, Colo., Janet Myers of Columbus; stepchildren, Eileen Bell of Jefferson, N.C., Phyllis Bowers of Gahanna; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by brother, Ralph Glass; and a grandchild.
Friends may call Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 3 at Ohio 61, Sunbury, with Masonic and memorial services at 2 p.m. Pastor Rick Negley will officiate. Burial will follow in Cheshire Cemetery.
