Marian L. Dewald
MASSILLON — Marian L. (Lash) Dewald, 89, of Massillon died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008, at Country Lawn Nursing Home in Navarre.
She was born June 3, 1918, in Massillon and was the daughter of the late Daniel and Cleo (Hollinger) Lash. She was a lifelong area resident. She was a 1936 graduate of Washington High School. On Jan. 30, 1942, she married Arnold “Nook” Dewald, who preceded her in death on May 27, 2007. She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ and enjoyed gardening and making floral arrangements. She also enjoyed cooking, canning and making strawberry preserves and various pies.
She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Dan and Judy Dewald of Mount Vernon and Bill Dewald of Massillon; her grandchildren, Christopher Dewald, Timothy Dewald and Debra (Kevin) Spearman; and her great-grandchildren, Olivia and Samantha Spearman.
Services to celebrate the life of Marian Dewald will take place Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with the Rev. R.H. “Bob” Moore officiating.
