Harold L. Jenkins

MOUNT VERNON — A funeral service for Harold L. Jenkins, 82, of Mount Vernon will be held Thursday, Jan. 31, at 11 a.m. at Law-Baker Funeral Home with the Rev. Marvin Haught officiating. Burial will follow in Brandon Cemetery.

Harold died Jan. 28, 2008, at Country Club Retirement Campus, Mount Vernon. He was born June 23, 1925, in Navarre to the late Frederick M. and Ada M. (Hanna) Jenkins. Harold was a World War II Army veteran. He was a lifelong member of the Central Ohio Draft Horse Association, a lifelong farmer, and draft horse and pony lover.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Donna J. (Beaver) Jenkins of Mount Vernon; sons, James Jenkins of Newark and Edward Jenkins of Ashland; daughters and sons-in-law, Judith and Raymond Back of Newark, and Joanne and Chuck Emblen of Mount Vernon; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Jean Jenkins of Winter Haven, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Duane, Dwight and Floyd Jenkins.

Friends may call Wednesday, Jan. 30, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica.
