Deanna M. Johnson
NEWARK — A funeral service for Deanna M. Johnson, 68, of Newark will be held Tuesday, Feb. 5, at 10 a.m. at the Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta Funeral & Cremation Service with the Rev. Robert L. Knox officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson died Jan. 31, 2008, at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born Aug. 24, 1939, in Martinsburg to the late Roy and Clarice (Porter) Kidwell. Mrs. Johnson was a graduate of Utica High School. She had been employed as a bank teller at Licking County Savings in the 1960s. During the ’70s and ’80s, she had been a Realtor for Furnan-Tinon and Dick Love Real Estate. She was also a caregiver with Creative Care. She was a member of the Newark Eagles and enjoyed roller skating and her friends.
She is survived by three sons, Donald W. (Debra K.) Johnson, Alan B. Johnson and Marc J. Johnson, all of Newark; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Howard Kidwell of Martinsburg and Glen Kidwell of Bladensburg; sister, Stella Ewart of Mount Vernon; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her ex-husband, William Franklin Johnson.
