Dennis Rogers
MOUNT VERNON — Dennis “Mr. Rogers” Rogers, 53, of Upper Fredericktown Road, Mount Vernon, passed away Monday, Feb. 4, 2008, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
He was born Dec. 28, 1954, in Mount Vernon to Archie and Nellie (Coss) Rogers. Dennis worked for American National Can, Loma Linda and most recently as a custodian for Mount Vernon City Schools. He was a member of the Knox County Agricultural Society, the Antique Tractor Club of Knox County and AMVETS Post 95.
He is survived by three sons, Chuck Rogers of Chico, Calif., Kenny (Candie) Rogers of Cardington and Steve Rogers of San Diego, Calif.; four grandchildren, Caden Rogers, Toby Rogers, Zachery Rogers and Kendall Rogers; a sister, Marilyn Smith of Loudonville; special friend, Tish Bailey; and mother of his children, Paula Rogers.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Deanna Rogers.
Friends may call Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. Burial with military honors provided by the Knox County Joint Veterans Council will follow in Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown.
