Karl McKee

ELKIN, N.C. — Karl McKee, formerly of Butler, Ohio, passed away Jan. 8, 2008, in Elkin N.C., after a long illness.

He was born in Gambier, Ohio, on Dec. 29, 1938, to the late Tom and Audrey McKee. Karl spent most of his life as a tree trimmer for different companies. He was a man who didn’t know a stranger and would help anybody out any way he could. Before moving to North Carolina he lived with his mother in Butler helping take care of her before she died. Karl will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Karl is survived by brothers, Jim of Portage Ind., Wayne (Stub) of Columbia, Tenn., Bob of Mount Vernon, Ohio; Rick of Illinois and Don of Danville, Ohio; sisters, Ellen McClain of Mount Vernon, Ohio, Carolyn Hallman of Fredericktown, Ohio, Marilyn Keyes of Senacaville, Ohio, Lois Reamsnider of Butler, Ohio, Linda McKenzie of Ipswich, Mass., and Nancy (Sam) Hogrebe of Corona, Calif.; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, Karl was preceded in death by three brothers, Roger, Walter and Clarance; and a sister, Sue Nottingham.

The family will be holding a memorial at a later date. Uncle Karl may you rest in peace.
