LANCASTER — Frances E. Woodward, 85, of Tartan Place, Lancaster, and formerly of Mount Vernon, passed away Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008, at Mount Carmel East Hospital in Columbus.
She was born Dec. 15, 1922, in Amity to the late James and Eva (Frye) McPherson. Frances worked at Mercy Hospital in Mount Vernon.
She is survived by a son, Tom (Maggie) Woodward of Lancaster; a daughter, Carole Kelsey of Columbus; three grandchildren, Grant Kelsey, Brad (Delia) Woodward and Stephanie (Kent) Brentzinger; two great-grandchildren, Yanai Woodward and Brittany Flynn; and a sister, Eleanor Rohler of Lyndhurst.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald G. Woodward; two sons, Timothy Woodward and Richard “Woody” Woodward; two brothers, Lawrence Delbert McPherson and Willard “Mac” McPherson; and two sisters, Velma Lewis and Emma Jean Wilson.
Friends may call today from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Mound View Cemetery in Mount Vernon.
