Adelia ‘Pam’ Gilman

MOUNT VERNON — Adelia “Pam” Gilman, 85, of Yauger Road, Mount Vernon, passed away Monday, Feb. 11, 2008, at the Country Club Retirement Campus in Mount Vernon.

She was born Sept. 8, 1922, in Woodward, Okla., to the late Eugene and Vaughn (Hedrick) Pearce. Adelia was a member of the Ideal Friends Prayers of Knox County and was a foster grandparent for the Mount Vernon Developmental Center.

She is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Tom) Geis of San Antonio, Texas; a sister, Winnifred Sturtevant of Mount Vernon; nieces and nephews, Linda Stanley, Pamela Christenson, Warren Sturtevant, Bethany Sturtevant, Brooke Stanley, Ben Gill, Shelby Gibbs, Logan Gibbs, Anistin Gibbs and Dominick Gill.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, Feb. 14, at 4 p.m. at Beech Tree Apartments, 1365 Sychar Road. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
