Howard I. Wheeler
CANTON — Howard I. Wheeler, 53, of Canton passed away Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, at Aultman Hospital.
He was born Oct. 1, 1954, in Canton to Harry B. and Rose Marie (Zengler) Wheeler Sr. Howard retired from Canton Drop Forge after 35 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rose Marie Wheeler; and his grandmother, Hilda A. Zengler.
He is survived by his father, Harry (Wanita) Wheeler Sr. of Caldwell; two sisters, Karen Ann Swope of Leauittsburg and Charlotte Ebie of Mount Vernon; brothers, Harry (Peggy) Wheeler Jr. of Canton, Randy Lee (Heidi) Wheeler of Largo, Fla., Alan Wheeler of Lexington Park, Md., and Charles Ebie of Mount Vernon; many nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Sue (Tim) Gallagher of Canton, and Gay Wheeler of Canton; and special friend, Mannie Ebr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Canton with Mgsr. Frank Carfagna as celebrant. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel. Interment will be in West Lawn Cemetery.
