Paul ‘Fred’ Nickelson

DELAWARE — Paul F. “Fred” Nickelson, 74, of Delaware died Monday, March 3, 2008, at Riverside Hospital in Columbus.

He was born Sept. 2, 1933, in Ostrander to the late Arlow F. and Thelma M. (McKitrick) Nickelson. He returned to Delaware in 2000 from Cincinnati. A U.S. Army veteran he had worked as a salesman for Schodorf Equipment Sales and following retirement was the assistant manager of Hidden Valley Golf Course for seven years. Fred was a member of the Delaware Eagles Airie Lodge 376, Moose Lodge 1167, and AMVETS Post 102.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Kathi; daughter, Jan Kramer of Golden, Colo.; son, Paul Nickelson of San Diego, Calif.; grandchildren, Josh and Kari Ford; sister, JoAnna Saunders of Columbus; and a special niece.

Friends may call Thursday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St. (U.S. 36), Delaware. Graveside services will be held for his family Friday at Fairview Cemetery in Ostrander.
