Christine Earlewine
UTICA — A graveside service for Christine M. Earlewine, 82, of Utica will be Thursday, March 13, 2008, at 1 p.m. in South Lawn Cemetery, Utica. Bruce Hissong will officiate.
Christine died March 10, 2008, at Grant Medical Center, Columbus. She was born July 29, 1925, in Walhonding to Stanley and Lucy (Haugher) Smoots. Christine retired from North Fork Schools and was a lifetime member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She loved her family, friends and hunting morel mushrooms in her younger years. She enjoyed day trips to Amish country and crocheting.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, William J. Earlewine of Utica; daughters and sons-in-law, Kathie A. and Charles Williams of Bennington, Ind., Marilyn K. and Robert E. Wright of Newark; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Stanley and Dixie Smoots of Utica, Raymond and Sallie Smoots of Lindale, Texas; sisters, Opal Weaver of Utica, Becky Squires of Oregon, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, George Smoots.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made at any Park National Bank to assist the family with medical expenses. Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica, is assisting the family with arrangements.
