Dora Lee McGuire
DELAWARE — Dora Lee McGuire, 79, of Delaware died March 12, 2008, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born Sept. 5, 1928, in Raven, W.Va., to Mary Whitt. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved laughter, honesty, and all people. She worked for Grady Memorial Hospital for many years and was an avid bowler and Texas-two-stepper.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Clarence Junior “CJ” McGuire of Delaware; three sons, Danny (Valerie) Alicie of Delaware, Randall (Sara) Alicie of Fredericktown and Michael (Sherri) Alicie of Cardington; two daughters, Jan Alicie of Delaware and Tena McGuire (Wally) Sunderland of Delaware; five grandchildren, Stephanie (Jeff) Bunsey of Bay Village, Leslle Alicie of Ashley, Brandi Alicie of Kentucky, Daniel Alicie of Delaware and Alex Alicie of Delaware; and four great-grandchildren, Brenan Alicie-Morrison, Katherine and Caroline Bunsey and Lillian Alicie.
She was preceded in death by her mother; two brothers, Woodrow and Raymond Poe; and a sister, Maggie Johnson.
A private family memorial will be held in the spring when her tulips bloom. Memorial contributions, if desired, can be made to Hospice of Delaware in lieu of flowers.
