Edward Leroy Lee
LOUDONVILLE — Edward Leroy Lee, 87, formerly of Pine Run Road, Loudonville, died Tuesday, March 18, 2008, in Knox Community Hospital, Mount Vernon, after a short illness.
Mr. Lee was born April 7, 1920, near Loudonville on the family farm, and was the son of the late Raymond and Ora (Kline) Lee. He was a 1939 graduate of Loudonville High School and was a farmer and retired employee of The Flxible Co. He loved animals and once had a pet squirrel and crow. He was a member of Pine Rune First Church of God, Loudonville, and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, receiving a Bronze Star, while serving as an MP in the European Theatre.
He is survived by nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services will be held in Sandridge Cemetery, south of Loudonville with the Rev. M. Wade Wolf officiating. Military services will be conducted by the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Honor Detail.
