Clarence E. Farmer
DANVILLE — Clarence Edward Farmer, 97, died Thursday, March 27, 2008, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 16, 1911, in Coshocton County to Elmer Legrand and Cora Ellen (Varner) Farmer. He was a member of the Danville Church of Christ, and a life member of the Union of Operating Engineers.
He is survived by sons, Larry D. (Wilda) Farmer and Lynn W. (April) Farmer; daughter, Patricia L. Piar-Seward (Walter); daughter-in-law, Kay Farmer; grandchildren, Roger, Barry, Neil, Aaron, Amy, Michelle, Nicole, Todd, Regina and Troy; great-grandchildren, Caley, Dylan, Derrick, Deidre, Kaylee, Emilee, Rylee, Angela and Eric; nieces and nephews, Barb and Bill Wollenberg, Runnette Matthews and Carl Shumaker; and several friends and neighbors, including the Spearman’s Restaurant group.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lucille Farmer, who he married on June 30, 1938, and preceded him in death on Nov. 30, 1992; a son, Edward L. Farmer; and grandsons, Rodney and Thomas Piar.
A funeral service will be held Monday, March 31, at 1 p.m. at the Danville Church of Christ, with Minister Stan Ratliff officiating. Burial will be in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens. Calling hours will be at the church on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m.
