Carl ‘Bob’ Law Jr.

UTICA — A private graveside service for Carl C. “Bob” Law Jr., 89, of Utica will be held at South Lawn Cemetery on Thursday, April 3, with the Rev. Robert I. Law officiating.

Bob died March 31, 2008, at Country Court Nursing Center, Mount Vernon. He was born Oct. 19, 1918, in Lore City, Ohio, to the late Carl C. and Alys (Shipman) Law Sr.

Bob was a World War II Army veteran and POW with the 116th Infantry who landed on Omaha Beach. He was co-owner with his brother, Harold, in Law and Sons Funeral Home and the Law Chevy Dealership.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Frances E. (Ingram) Law of Utica; son, Robert I. Law of Utica; sister-in-law, Magdalene Law of Chatham, Mass.; and two grandchildren, Amanda and Lauren Law of San Diego, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his sons, Francis L. “Frank” Law and Carl C. Law III; sister, Beatrice Alford; brothers and sister-in-law, Ronald S. Law, Harold L. and Maryann Law.

Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica, is assisting the family with arrangements.
