Lou Emma King

CENTERBURG — Lou Emma King, 46, of Centerburg died Monday, April 7, 2008, at her home.

She was born June 17, 1961, in Cincinnati to the late Elmer and Margaret Hatfield. Lou moved to Centerburg in 1998 from Sunbury and had worked as a nursing assistant for the Morning View Care Center in Condit. She collected cows and, according to her family, they were everywhere.

She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Joe; sons, Randy of Centerburg, Robert (Ann) of Delaware, Kenneth (Stacy) and Jeremy (Tabitha), both of Mount Vernon, Shawn of News Salisbury, Ind., and Larry King of Chaplin, Ky.; 12 grandchildren; stepfather, James George of Columbus; sisters, Sandy (John) King of Sunbury, Joyce (Dave) Fletcher of Heath; brothers, Michael (Boots) Hatfield of Columbus, Charles Hatfield of Centerburg; lifelong friend, Lori Hale.

Friends may call Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 3 at Ohio 61, Sunbury, where service will follow at 3 p.m., with Pastor Marc Harding officiating. Burial will follow in Sunbury Memorial Park.
