Alice E. Frost
MOUNT VERNON — Alice Elizabeth Frost, 81, of Teryl Drive, Mount Vernon, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2008, at the Ohio Eastern Star Home in Mount Vernon.
She was born June 30, 1926, in Youngstown to the late Kellie and Millie (Back) Wright. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. She loved spending time with wonderful friends playing Rummikub and Dominos. Some of the causes that were dear to her heart were: Operation Christmas Child, Sonshine Kids, Father’s Table and the Missions.
She is survived by her husband of over 62 years, Raymond Frost; three sons, R. George (Marilyn) Frost of Clifton Park, N.Y., William (Bobbi) Frost of Simpsonville, Ky., and Thomas (Carol) Frost of Herndon, Va.; two daughters, Sharon (Pete) Ollis of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Lori (Brian) Gastin of Gambier; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, with one additional coming soon; three brothers, Kellie Wright of Mount Vernon, Ed Wright of Poland, Ohio, and Lewis Wright of Florida; and one sister, Hazel (David) Benson of Deerfield, Florida.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her grandson, Benjamin Peter Ollis; and sisters, Florence Stare and Loretta Hollon.
Friends may call Tuesday, April 15, from 10 a.m. to noon at the First Church of the Nazarene, 807 Coshocton Road, Mount Vernon, with the funeral service following at noon. The Rev. Mikel Norris will officiate funeral services. A private family burial will be held in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. The arrangements are under the care and direction of the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon.
