Helen L. Harrah
COSHOCTON — Helen Louise Harrah, 87, of East Main Street, Coshocton, died April 13, 2008, at the Coshocton County Memorial Hospital.
She was born Sept. 14, 1920, in Spring Mountain to the late Edward and Frances Agnes (Lentz) Krownapple. She was a dental assistant, a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW 1330. Helen spent many wonderful years after retiring, enjoying her family, friends and her cat, Morris. She will be sadly missed by family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Lynne Kobel of Warsaw; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; two nieces, Elaine Gilmore of Coshocton and Margaret Summers of Mount Vernon; a nephew, Edward Krownapple of Howard; and two daughters-in-law, Faith Wood of Columbus and Sharon Harrah of West Lafayette.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Langdon “Buck” Harrah, whom she married May 14, 1941. He died Sept. 8, 2000. She was also preceded in death by three sons, Gary Michael, David Bruce and Jamie Mitchell Harrah; a sister, Madonna Gilmore; and two brothers, Walter Krownapple and Ralph “Dick” Krownapple.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, April 16, at 10 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Coshocton with the Rev. William A. Hristko officiating. Burial will be in the Valley View Cemetery at Warsaw. Visitation is Tuesday, April 14, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, where there will be a Christian wake service at 7:30 p.m.
