Lois Stockberger-Johnston

APISON, Tenn. — Lois Marie Stockberger-Johnston, born in Glenford, Ohio, 84, died at her daughter’s home in Apison, Tenn., on April 13, 2008, after an extended illness.

She lived in the Mount Vernon, Ohio, area from 1958-78.

She is survived by her three children, Sue (Val) Christopher of Apison, Tenn., Allen (Deena) Stockberger of Gambier, Ohio, and Tonda (Mark) Snoey of Apison, Tenn. She has five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl Helser and Daisy (Wells) Helser; and her two husbands, Wayne Stockberger in 2000, and Gil Johnston in 2007.

A memorial service is planned for May 24 in Apison, Tenn., at the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the hospice of choice. Notes of condolence may be sent to stockyads@yahoo.com.
