Lois A. Koppert
NOKOMIS, Fla. — Lois Anne Koppert, 73, of Nokomis, Fla., formerly of Loudonville, died Friday evening, April 11, 2008, in Florida after a six-month illness.
Mrs. Koppert was born Sept. 2, 1934, in Connersville, Ind., the daughter of the late Earl P. and Loretta (Massey) Wright. Lois had lived in the Loudonville area most of her life, moving to Florida in 2003. She was a 1952 graduate of Loudonville High School and was a graduate of the Mt. Sinai Hospital School of Nursing. She was a Registered Nurse for 25 years with the Mohican Juvenile Correctional Facility, before retiring in 2001. She had also been employed at Kettering Hospital, Loudonville, Martin Memorial Hospital, Mount Vernon, and for private physician offices.
She was a former member of Loudonville and Jelloway United Methodist churches, and the Loudonville Ladies Bridge Club. She was also an avid reader.
Lois is survived by her husband, Eldon E. “Pete” Koppert, whom she married May 4, 1957; her son, Timothy E. Koppert of Loudonville; two brothers, James (Mary Lou) Wright of Missassaqua, Ontario, Canada, and Richard (Beverly) Wright of El Paso, Texas; and her sister, Jane Eberhart of Circleville.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 20, at 2 p.m. in Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville, with the Rev. David Maly officiating. Following the service, there will be a luncheon from 3:30 to 7 p.m. held by the family at Jelloway United Methodist Church. Friends may call Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
