Patricia Lou Baker

OCALA, Fla. — Patricia Lou Baker, 75, of Ocala, Fla., and formerly of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away Friday, Feb. 29, 2008, at the Hospice Legacy House in Ocala, Fla.

She was born June 27, 1932, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, to the late Ernest and Helen (Morrison) Walpole.

She is survived by two daughters, Carole Spriggs of Immokalee, Fla., and Beverly (Orndorff) Godfrey of Silver Springs, Fla.; a stepson, James Baker II of Mount Vernon; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth Walpole of Milan and Larry Walpole of Mount Vernon; and three sisters, Shirley Hoagland of Loudonville, Judy Llewellyn of Mount Vernon and Bonnie.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Baker; a son, John R. Wright; two brothers, Ernest Walpole Jr., Donald Walpole; and a sister, Wanda Proper.

The family will observe a graveside service on Saturday, April 26, at 11:30 a.m. in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens. A luncheon will be held following the services at the residence of Darlene Cross, 12600 Beckley Road, Fredericktown. Covered dishes would be appreciated. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
