Stanley E. Condon

NEW ALBANY — Stanley E. Condon, 82, of New Albany, formerly of Plymouth, Ohio, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2008, after a long illness.

He was born April 12, 1926, in Mount Vernon, to Celcus and Irene Condon. He retired from AMF, Bowling Division Design Engineer, after 35 years. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II; a 58-year member of Hanover Lodge 115, F&AM, at Loudonville; a lifetime member of NRA; an executive officer of Ohio Valley Wing of CAF; and a member of Ohio Rifle & Pistol Association, Thunder Bird Club, Air Force Museum Foundation, Central Ohio Numismatic Association and Blendon Senior Center.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Pauline; son, John B. (Sharon) Elliott of Otisville, Mich.; daughter, Hilda Lee (Ernest) Allan of Woodstock, Calif.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and brother, William M. Condon of Mount Vernon.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Ellen Irene Condon, in a 1984 plane crash.

Friends may call Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Moreland Funeral Home, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, where service will be Monday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Charlie Woodward will officiate. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Perrysville.
