Kenneth Wayne Hess
ARLINGTON, Texas — Kenneth Wayne Hess passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2008, surrounded by family, after a long medical battle.
Kenny was born on March 5, 1948, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, the son of Dick Hess and Zella Porter. Kenny lived life passionately for 60 years. He faced obstacles greater than most of us could imagine. He was always cooking extra and having it delivered to his friends and neighbors who were in need of assistance.
Kenny leaves behind many friends, old and new. Survivors include his wife, Juanita; stepchildren, Amanda and James; his father, Dick Hess and his wife, Ruth; a son, Brian of Ohio; daughter, Kori of Texas; a grandson, B.J. of Ohio; a sister, Shirley Johnston and her husband of Louisiana; two brothers, Tom Porter and his wife of Minnesota and Gary Porter and his wife of Colorado; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Zella Porter; stepfather, Arlo Porter; and a sister, Jeannine Curtis of Ohio.
The family asks that memorial contributions be sent to Angels in Waiting, 4146 Willman Ave., Suite 104, N. Richland Hills, TX 76180; or to the Diabetes Foundation.
