Eva F. Mangold
COSHOCTON — Eva F. Mangold, 84, formerly of Roscoe, went to be with her Lord surrounded by her loving family at 10:55 p.m. on Monday, May 5, 2008, at Autumn Healthcare of Coshocton.
Born Oct. 14, 1923, in South Zanesville, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Letha (Thomas) Homman. She was an assistant in the physical therapy department at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital. Before retiring she was employed by the former Schiff Shoes on Main Street, Coshocton.
In the 1960s she was named “Mrs. Coshocton.” An avid doll collector, Eva was a former Pink Lady at Coshocton Hospital and a member of Victory Baptist Church. Her passion was a chocolate Frosty. On July 25, 1944, she married Charles Henry Mangold, who died Sept. 11, 1992.
Surviving are three sons, Terry (Barb) Mangold of Franklin, Tim (Pat) Mangold of Frazeysburg and Ted (Nancy) Mangold of Lancaster; three daughters, Daunnette Sue (Robert) Bonner of Willard, Becky (Ray) Walker of Coshocton and Barbette (David) Bailey of Mount Vernon; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Jim (Maggie) Homman of Zanesville; one sister, Janie Anders of Zanesville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Eva was preceded in death by three sisters.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 9, at 2 p.m. at Free Funeral Home with a personal friend and pastor Terry P. Weirich officiating. The committal service will follow at the Coshocton County Memory Gardens chapel. Calling hours will be Friday from noon to 2 p.m., prior to the funeral service at Free Funeral Home.
