MOUNT VERNON — Mabel Ogg Hupp, 97, of Gambier Road, Mount Vernon, passed away Friday, May 16, 2008, at the Ohio Eastern Star Health Care Center.
She was born on March 20, 1911, in Howard to the late William and Fannie Marker. Mabel was a charter member of the Dan Emmett Grange and a member of the Green Valley United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her second husband, Chester Hupp; a daughter, Carolyn (Gary) Gray of Mount Vernon; a son, David (Carole) Ogg of Palm Coast, Fla.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Mabel was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard Ogg; a brother, William Marker; and two sisters, Helen Edwards and Dorothy Mawer.
Friends may call on Sunday, May 25, from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Ohio Eastern Star Health Care Center Chapel. The family will observe a private service at a later date. The arrangements are under the care and direction of the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home.
