Robert V. Fisher
MOUNT VERNON — Robert V. Fisher, 79, of Mount Vernon died Saturday, May 17, 2008, at the Summerville at HillenVale in Mount Vernon.
Robert was born Oct. 23, 1928, in Chesterville to William and Mattie (Bower) Fisher and spent his lifetime in Morrow and Knox counties. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and was retired from the Mount Vernon Developmental Center in Mount Vernon.
Surviving are his wife, Marjorie Elaine (Warner) Fisher; one son, Garry (Bonnie) Warner of Fredericktown; a grandson, Mike (Ashley Nichols) Warner; two great-grandchildren, Lane Warner and Jonathan Warner; a brother, John (Juanita) Fisher of Birmingham, Ala.; a sister, Marjorie Fisher of Traveras, Fla.; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Fisher of Chesterville.
Besides his parents, Robert was preceded in death by five brothers, Carl Fisher, Fred Fisher, Frank Fisher, Raymond Fisher and Carter Fisher; and two sisters, Elizabeth Davis and Lois Beck.
Graveside funeral services, with military honors by the Knox County Joint Veterans Council, will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Maple Grove Cemetery in Chesterville. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon.
