Rebecca Hinkle

MOUNT VERNON — Rebecca “Becky” Hinkle, 45, of Spruce Street, Mount Vernon, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2008, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

She was born Jan. 15, 1963, in Columbus to Joseph Fleming and Della Hass. Becky worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Mount Vernon Developmental Center. She was a member and elder of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and could be found quite often working out at the Mount Vernon YMCA.

She is survived by her two sons, Andrew Hinkle and Scott Hinkle, both of Mount Vernon; father and stepmother, Joseph and Mona Fleming of Fredericktown; mother, Della Hass of Tazewell, Va.; two brothers, Ron Fleming of Marion, Joe Fleming of Johnson City, Tenn.; two sisters, Melissa (Keith) Hume of Mount Vernon, Mandi (Ray) Hubschman of Marengo; grandmother, Ann Hass of War, W.Va.; aunts and uncles, Fred Hass, Roger Hass, Freda Rose and Marie Fleming; and her canine companions, Sissy and Bandit.

Friends may call Sunday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High St., Mount Vernon, where a funeral service will be Monday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Jamie Gump will officiate. The family will observe a private graveside service.
