Ruth E. Cline

FREDERICKTOWN — Ruth Eleanor Cline, 86, of Fredericktown died Saturday, May 31, 2008, at the Centerburg Pointe Care Center in Centerburg following an extended illness.

Ruth was born in Worthington Township, Richland County, to Winfield Scott Bowman and Gladys (Bemiller) Bowman and was a graduate of Butler High School. She had been employed at the Thomas Light Manufacturing Co. in Hopkinsville, Ky. Ruth was a member of the Christian County, United Methodist Church near Hopkinsville, Ky., and was a former member of the White Shrine.

Surviving are her son, William H. (Barbara) Cline of Fredericktown; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and three brothers, Harold “Jake” Bowman of Lexington, Horbart (Portia) Bowman of Mansfield and Dwight “Ducky” (Marilyn) Bowman of Bellville.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Cline; her son, Barry Cline; a daughter, Bonnie Grogg; two brothers, Dean Bowman and Jim Bowman; and her sister, Mary Alice VanHouten.

Graveside funeral services will be Wednesday, June 4, at 3:30 p.m. (CDT) at Green Hill Memorial Gardens at Hopkinsville, Ky.

Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. The Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown is honored to serve the family of Ruth E. Cline.
