Lenore I. Dillard

MOUNT VERNON — Lenore I. Dillard, 84, of South Division Street, Mount Vernon, passed away Saturday morning, May 31, 2008, at the Country Club Retirement Campus in Mount Vernon.

She was born Dec. 4, 1923, in Mason, W.Va., to George Frederick and Edna Amelia (Theiss) Icenhower and had been a resident of the Mount Vernon area since 1985. She was a homemaker.

Lenore is survived by her husband, John H. Dillard; four sisters, Lucille Davis of Middleport, Eleanor Knapp of West Columbia, W.Va., Jane (Jim) Chapin of Danville and Deloris (Don) Gourley of Westerville; two brothers, Freddie Icenhower and Charles Icenhower, both of Columbus; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will have a graveside funeral service at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens on Friday, June 6, at 11:30 a.m.

Memorial contributions can be sent the charity of the donor’s choice. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Dillard.
