Wm. Lewis Ebersole
FREDERICKTOWN — Wm. Lewis Ebersole, 78, of County Road 179, Fredericktown, passed away Monday, June 2, 2008, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
He was born Aug. 4, 1929, in Fredericktown to the late Leland and Florence (Robinson) Ebersole. Lewis co-owned and operated the Ebersole Custom Butchering near Chesterville for over 40 years. Lewis will be remembered by many in Chester Township as the “Good Neighbor” always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
He is survived by a son, Scott (Jennifer) Ebersole of Delaware, Ohio; three daughters, Peggy (Robert) Jenkins of Fredericktown, Teresa (Kim) Waggoner of Mount Vernon and Lora (Mark) Burge of Cardington; seven grandchildren; a great-grandson; four brothers, Lloyd (Betty) Ebersole of Fredericktown, Ernest (Patty) Ebersole of Chesterville, Robert (Betty) Ebersole of Cochran, Ga., and Richard (Judy) Ebersole of Fredericktown; four sisters, Lillian Lower of Mount Vernon, Ruth Reeder of Butler, Bonnie Hobson of Ashland and Aileen Bishop of Fredericktown.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Mae (Snyder) Ebersole; and a sister, Vivian Morris.
Friends may call Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Heartland Alliance Church, 6385 State Route 314, Mount Gilead, OH 43338, where a funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. Pastor Brian “Yogi” Durbin and Pastor Craig Irwin will be officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Chesterville. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home is honored to serve the Ebersole family.
