Jerald Cunningham Sr.

HOWARD — Jerald L. Cunningham Sr., 73, of Hazel-Dell Road, Howard, died Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at his residence.

He was born Dec. 14, 1934, in Athens to Rye and Lena (Watkins) Cunningham. On April 23, 1955, he was married to Milagros Saldana. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the American Legion Post 650.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Jerry (Laura) Cunningham of Danville and Terry (Frinice) Cunningham of Greenback, Tenn.; daughters, Dianne (Bret) Bennett of Danville and Debbie (Keith) White of Gambier; 11 grandchildren, Autumn (Josh) Moore, Lindsay (Jason) Sanders, Matthew White, Bryan Cunningham, Jason White, Teneil Cunningham, Amy Cunningham, Taylor Bennett, Tori Cunningham, Ryely Bennett and Lauren White; two great-grandchildren, Kylee and Carson Moore; a brother, Paul Cunningham; and two sisters, Norma Grubb and Judy Matheny.

He was preceded in death by siblings, John, Eileen, Cleo and Bud.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 14, at 1 p.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Pastor Jamie Gump will officiate.
