Ethel L. VanDover
MOUNT VERNON — Ethel L. VanDover, 80, of Mount Vernon died Thursday, June 12, 2008, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
Ethel was born Aug. 11, 1927, at Amity to Joseph Myron Spellman and Mamie Leota (Farqar) Spellman and moved back to Mount Vernon from Chandler, Ariz., in 2006. Ethel was a member of the Chandler United Methodist Church in Chandler, Ariz., and the Ladies Red Hat Society.
Surviving are her daughter, Cathy (Travis Cole) Price of Mount Vernon; her sons, Robert Price of Chandler, Ariz., and Patrick (Gloria) Price of North Las Vegas, Nev.; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph O. VanDover; a son, Michael Miller; three brothers, Lee Spellman, Beryl Spellman and Forrest Spellman; and three sisters, Frances Wood, Margery Cumberworth and Bertha Patterson.
There will be no calling hours. Private burial will be at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix, Ariz.
