Verna Belle Clippinger
MOUNT PERRY — A funeral service for Verna Belle Clippinger, 94, of Mount Perry will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, with Pastor Charles Horsley officiating. Burial will follow in Bell Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Clippinger, a homemaker, passed away June 14, 2008, at her residence. She was born March 1, 1914, in Licking County, to the late Charles A. and Tillie E. (Hays) Clutter. She was a member of the Central Church of Christ in Mount Vernon, where she was the organist for many years. She was an 80-year member of the Morgan Grange.
She is survived by her children, Gordon (Rosemary) Clippinger of Brownsville, Carlton Clippinger of Heath, Keith Clippinger and Oneta (Tom) Debolt, both of Utica, Ronald (Rosemary) Clippinger of Newark, Nancy (David) Clum of Thornville, Lynn (Joyce) Clippinger of Glenford and Karen Clippinger of Newark; sister, Dorothea Wisener of Newark; sister-in-law, Jean Clutter of Florida; 25 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Lancie Clippinger; three brothers; four sisters; infant son, and a daughter-in-law.
Friends may call today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark.
