Lola D. Yeater
MILLERSBURG — Lola Darlene Yeater, 88, of Millersburg died Monday, June 16, 2008, at Sycamore Run Nursing Home, Millersburg.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with the Rev. Gerald Craycraft officiating. Burial will be at the Killbuck Cemetery in Killbuck. Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was born May 20, 1920, in Knox County and was the daughter of Paul and Gladys L. (Daniels) Atherton. On Dec. 2, 1939, she married Charles V. Yeater in Greenup, Ky., and he survives.
She was a homemaker and a seamstress, residing in Holmes County most of her married life. Lola was a member of the Killbuck Church of Christ. She was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Killbuck VFW, Blue Star Mothers and the Killbuck Garden Club.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 68 years are two sons and their spouses, Ronnie A. (Becky) Yeater of Rittman and Sid (Cecelia) Yeater of Killbuck; two daughters, Sandra Ackert of Glenmont and Cheryl Widenhammer of Wooster. She had 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother; two sisters; a granddaughter, Stacy Ackert; and a son-in-law, James Ackert.
