Franklin R. Shaffer
FREDERICKTOWN — Franklin R. “Frank” Shaffer, 58, of Fredericktown died Monday, June 16, 2008, at Mount Carmel-St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville.
Frank was born March 1, 1950, in Mount Vernon to Raymond C. and Dessie I. (Durbin) Shaffer and had spent his lifetime in Morrow County. Frank had been a farmer on his family’s farm near Chesterville, and had also worker at Hydraulic Press Manufacturing (HPM) in Mount Gilead. He attended the Chesterville United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Sandra (Beal) Shaffer, whom he married Feb. 16, 1974; his brother, Garry (Nancy) Shaffer of Fredericktown; his sister, Mary Kay (Gary) Sharp of Fredericktown; his mother-in-law, Pauline “Polly” Beal of Butler; and brothers-in-law, Gary (Mary Lou) Beal of Bellville and David Beal of Butler; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law, Max Leroy Beal; and a great-niece.
Friends may call Thursday, June 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown, where funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. with the Revs. Timothy Ruch and Jeannie Winters officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Chesterville.
