Delbert E. Johnson
CENTERBURG — Delbert Eugene “Bussie” Johnson, 81, of Centerburg, formerly of Mount Vernon, died Thursday, June 19, 2008, at the Heartland of Centerburg following an extended illness.
Delbert was born June 24, 1926, in Washington County, Ohio, to Isaac and Velma (McCutchen) Johnson and had been a resident of Knox County for over 50 years. He was retired from Pittsburgh Plate Glass Industries in Mount Vernon and following his retirement he drove bus for the Knox County Head Start.
Surviving are two stepsons, Cary Horlacher of Mount Vernon and Gary Horlacher of Croton.
Besides his parents, Delbert was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Horlacher Johnson; four brothers, Kenneth Johnson, Robert Johnson, Paul Johnson and Chauncey Johnson; and six sisters, Lahoma Wilson, Mildred Sherlock, Mae Kodger, Violet Griffith, Iona Johnson and Glenna Cochran.
