Evelyn Taylor
MOUNT VERNON — Evelyn Taylor, 84, of Gambier Road, Mount Vernon, went to be with her Lord on Friday, July 4, 2008, at the Country Club Retirement Campus in Mount Vernon.
She was born Dec. 7, 1923, in Knox County to the late Edgar and Mary (Lahmon) Frye. Evelyn was a member of the Grove Church of Christ. She was also a member and very active with RSPV and Senior Citizens, both of Mount Vernon. The family would like to thank Country Club Center and Hospice for their loving care of Evelyn.
She is survived by her son, Jim (Nikki) Taylor of Mount Vernon; a daughter, Mary Kosut of Newark; three grandchildren, Steve Wolfe, Amber Kosut, Jeff Taylor; three sisters, Betty Mills of Gambier, Marguerite (Leland) Mills of Mount Vernon and Rosella (Harold) Snively of Gambier.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ralph Taylor; a granddaughter, April Wolfe; and a son-in-law, Tom Kosut.
Friends may call Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Union Grove Cemetery in Gambier.
