Oather ‘Boyd’ Farley
SUNBURY — Oather “Boyd” Farley, 71, of Sunbury died Friday morning, July 4, 2008, at Highland Manor in Portland, Tenn.
He was born April 29, 1937, in Jackson, Ohio, to the late Oather M. and Clara V. (Jordan) Farley. He was a truck driver last driving for the Croton Egg Farm. Former member of the Masonic Lodge in Detroit and a member of the Autobahn Society.
He is survived by son, Steven C. Farley of Portland, Tenn.; daughter, Joy (Greg) Goebel of Hilliard; granddaughters, Brandy and Amanda; and two great-grandchildren; and sisters, Odella (Carl) Smith Gantt of Sunbury and Bina (Robert) Boudinot of Greer, S.C.
Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 3 at Ohio 61, Sunbury, where services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Wayne Booth officiating. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
