Everett 'Bud' Pierce
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Everett “Bud” Pierce, 59, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and formerly of Centerburg, Ohio, passed away suddenly at Grandstrand Regional Hospital in South Carolina.
Bud was born on Nov. 21, 1948. He was preceded in death by father, Everett (Katy) Pierce; and mother, Carolyn (James) Wilson. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Charles Kensler.
Bud is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Lisa; son, Matthew (Amy); grandchildren, Rhiannon and Gabriel; siblings, Marjorie (Donald) Ray and John (Judith) Pierce; uncle, Charles (Pam) Brown; nieces and nephews, Scott (Emily), Trish (Kevin), Jodi (Caleb), Chad, Erin, James, Molly, Owen, Carl and Sarah. Also surviving are five great-nephews and one great-niece, and a host of loving friends and relatives.
Bud attended Harrisburg and Darbydale Elementary School and was a 1966 graduate of West High School. He retired from Johns-Manville and Pedersen Insulation Co. Bud loved all sports but had a special passion for golfing and was a member of the Table Rock Golf Course in Centerburg. Bud will be missed by all who knew him and will be remembered by all as a loving family man and true friend.
Services will be held at the Schoedinger Grove City Chapel on Thursday, July 24, at 1 p.m. with interment to follow at Pleasant Cemetery in Mount Sterling. Family will receive friends today from 5 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, July 24, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Masonic services will be held.
