MOUNT VERNON — Victoria “Vikki” (Swain) Hammons of Mount Vernon, formerly of Manchester, Tenn., went to heaven on July 16, 2008, after a battle with cancer.
She was born Aug. 20, 1948.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law, daughter-in-law and aunt.
She is survived by three sons Carl (Candy) Swain of Killbuck, Herbie (Connie) Leverton of Manchester, Tenn., and Richard (Trina) Leverton of Mount Vernon; a daughter, Cecilia (Bob) Lisowski of Manchester, Tenn.; several grandchildren; two sisters, Carol Sheriff of Cardington and Kay (Larry) Hatfield of Mansfield; nieces and nephews; and several other relatives and friends. Her special friends and caregivers are Gerald Blanton Sr. and Deborah Bowers of Mount Vernon; Dave Johnson of Bulls Gap, Tenn.; and Gail Revell of Con, Kan.
She loved doing crafts and helping others. A memorial will be held at a later date.
