Donald W. Clutter
MOUNT VERNON — Donald W. Clutter, 87, of Mount Vernon passed away Aug. 5, 2008, at his residence.
He was born March 3, 1921, in Mount Vernon and was the son to the late Dean and Emma (Cline) Clutter. Don was a World War II Army veteran, an avid woodworker and was a longtime employee and manager of Pond Tire Co.
He is survived by his daughter, Donna Andrews of Mount Vernon; foster daughter, Dianne Lawrence of Westerville; two sisters-in-law, Mary Essman of Westerville and Shirley Clutter of Mount Vernon; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alyce G. Clutter, in March 1991; longtime companion, Dot George; and brothers, Lloyd and Harold Clutter.
Friends may call today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. with Elder Gary Holback officiating. Burial with military honors will be conducted by the Knox County Joint Veterans Council in Mound View Cemetery.
