Ruth Ola Burton
DELRAY BEACH, Fla. — Ruth Ola Burton, 78, of Delray Beach, Fla., passed away Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008.
Mrs. Burton moved to Boynton Beach in 1965 from Ohio. She formerly worked at Lucille & Otley’s Restaurant in Boynton Beach. Since 1995, she worked with her husband at Boynton-Hypoluxo Animal Clinic in Boynton Beach.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Arthur Burton of Delray Beach; two daughters, Dottie James of Ocala, Fla., and Michelle Burton of lake Worth; four grandchildren, Courtney, Whitney, Katie and Trent; three great-grandchildren, Leo, Levi and Andrea; four sisters, Mary Carman, Martha Kirk, Rita Longshore and Mabell Chadwick; and two brothers, John and Greg Chadwick. Ruth had a large and loving group of adopted family and friends.
Friends will be received Wednesday, Aug. 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home, corner of U.S. Highway 1 and N.E. 15th Avenue, Boynton Beach. Funeral services will be Thursday, Aug. 14, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Richard Gallo of First United Methodist Church of Boynton Beach officiating. Burial will follow in Palm Beach Memorial Park.
