Lewis L. Scott
COLUMBUS — Lewis L. Scott, 72, died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008, at Ohio State Medical Center in Columbus.
He was born June 12, 1936, to the late Charles and Florence (Dayton) Scott in Newark. He had lived in the Marengo area since 1950 and attended the Sparta Christian Church. He was a member of the Morrow County Antique Tractor Club.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Maxine (Pierce) Scott; son, Terry Scott of Mount Vernon; daughters, Deborah (Rick) Gallogly of Marengo, Sharon (Dan) Dean of Branson, Mo., and Diana Scott of Mount Vernon; stepdaughters, Diana (Ernie) Duncan and Sharon (Leon) Holtrey; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and brother, John (Pat) Scott.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Ernie Dayton and Charles Scott; and a sister, Dorothy Cagnon.
Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 3 at Ohio 61, Sunbury. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Bloomfield Cemetery near Sparta.
