He was born Dec. 3, 1978, in Mount Vernon, a son of Randy M. Ike of Mount Vernon and Marilyn K. Ike of Howard. Aaron was a 1996 graduate of East Knox High School. He worked as a carpenter with his father at RMI Design Builders in Mount Vernon. Aaron was an avid outdoorsman; he loved to ride motorcycles, canoeing and anything to do with nature. Aaron was always willing to help anyone in need.
In addition to his parents, Aaron is survived by his girlfriend, Sara Prince of Westerville; nephew, Cameron Kline, and niece, Andrea Kline, both of Mansfield; his maternal grandparents, Jim and Yvonne Becktol of Mansfield; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Aaron was preceded in death by his sister, Holly Colleen Ike; and his paternal grandparents, Bernard and Etta Mae Ike.
Aaron’s last way of helping others was he chose to be an organ donor.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, Aug. 24, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High St., Mount Vernon. A graveside service will be held Monday, Aug. 25, at 11 a.m. at the Mausoleum in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens with Pastor Doug Sweet officiating.
