MILLWOOD, W.Va. — Mildred M. Scott, 90, of Millwood, W.Va., formerly of Sunbury, died Friday, Aug. 22, 2008, at Jackson General Hospital in Ripley, W.Va.
She was born on March 5, 1918, in Kenna, W.Va., to the late Elijah and Ethel E. (Wandling) Williams. While in Sunbury, Mildred was an active member of the Condit Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her children, Anna (Dallas) Trembly, with whom she resided, Shelva Scott, Carl Scott and Philip (Susanne) Scott; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a brother Arnold Williams.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Wilbur Scott; daughter, Charlotte Harrison; grandson, Christopher Scott; sister, Masil Williams; and brother, Otmer Williams.
Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 3 at Ohio 61, Sunbury, where services will be Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Alexander McDougall officiating. Burial will follow in Trenton Cemetery.
