FREDERICKTOWN — Lester D. Rinehart, 80, of Mount Gilead Road, Fredericktown, passed away Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
He was born March 3, 1928, in Richland County to the late Glen and Lydia (Hildebrand) Rinehart. Lester retired in 1996 after 45 years of employment as a works manager for Kokosing Construction Co. in Fredericktown. He served in the U.S. Army, was a member of the Ohio Carpenter’s Union 735 and the Waterford United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Doris (Singrey) Rinehart; five sons, David (Kathy) Rinehart of Hebron, Dean (Marsha) Rinehart of Fredericktown, Dennis Rinehart of Fredericktown, Doug (Melanie) Rinehart of Centerburg and Dana (Cathy) Rinehart of Fredericktown; 10 grandchildren, Steve (Melissa) Rinehart, Chris Rinehart, Geoff Rinehart, Greg Rinehart, Matt Rinehart, Morgan (Angie) Rinehart, Taylor Rinehart, Doug Rinehart, Erin Rinehart and Lynne Schnabel; three great-grandsons, Bryce, Reese and Carson; two brothers, Carroll (Marilyn) Rinehart of Tucson, Ariz.; and Donald (Janet) Rinehart of Ashland; a sister, Marilyn (Don) Rhodebeck of Mount Gilead; an aunt, Marie Hildebrand of Johnsville; and two daughters-in-law, M. Kathy Rinehart and Teresa Rinehart.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 13, at 10:30 a.m. at the Waterford United Methodist Church. Pastor Gary Miller and the Rev. Donald Rinehart will be officiating. The Snyder Funeral Home of Fredericktown is honored to serve the family of Lester D. Rinehart.
