COLLEGEDALE, Tenn. — Lucy Hendrick Crago, 95, passed away quietly on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008, in Life Care Center of Collegedale, Tenn., after a brief illness.
Lucy Mary Hendrick was born in a farmhouse in Ionia, Mich., to Allen and Zua Hendrick on Nov. 6, 1912. She was married to Noah Crago from Sept. 12, 1935, until his death in December 1985. Mrs. Crago moved from Mount Vernon, Ohio, to Ooltewah, Tenn., in 1996 to be with her daughter’s family. She was a member of the Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist Church. Formerly she was a member of the Mount Vernon, Ohio, SDA Church for more than 50 years.
Survivors include her children, Rollin (Nancy) Crago of White City, Ore., James Crago of Pear Blossom, Calif., and Lorella (Larry) Howard of Ooltewah, Tenn.; grandchildren, Dawn Crago of Nashville, Tenn., Steven Crago, Laura Crago, Ron (Christine) Crago of Pear Blossom, Calif., Jeff (Millie) Crago of Pear Blossom, Calif., Loren Howard of Ooltewah, Tenn., Landon Howard of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Ladonna Howard of Chattanooga, Tenn. She also has six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, Sept. 14, at noon in the Collegedale SDA Church’s Gospel Chapel in Collegedale, Tenn.
