Albert ‘Babe’ Mazza

MOUNT VERNON — Bertrice M. Horlacher, 81, of Mount Vernon died Sept. 10, 2008, at Knox Community Hospital.

She was born Sept. 8, 1927, in Mount Vernon to Ralph and Marion (Scott) Seavolt. She was a past member of the AMVETS and VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She also enjoyed bingo.

Bertrice is survived by three daughters, Victoria Blubaugh, Candi Snell and Kimberly (Dan) Cain, all of Mount Vernon; one son, Adam (Anna) Horlacher of Mount Vernon; two sisters, Ginny (Clayton) Hagans of Ashland, Ky., and Judy (Charles) Hunnicut of Mount Vernon; three brothers, Derle Seavolt and John (Janis) Seavolt, both of Mount Vernon, and David (Susan) Seavolt of Granville; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Horlacher Jr.; daughter, Carla Horlacher; and two brothers, Gene and Donald Seavolt.

Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home, 212 N. Main St., Mount Vernon. A graveside memorial service will be held in St. John’s Cemetery at a later date.
